hurrah for bittorrent, and hopefully for us consumers in the long run as this should result in much better quality content delivered in much less time.
i know this is old news at this point as this deal was announce on tuesday, but this falls into the no-brainer/duh/this should have been done a long time ago business deals category. i, and several of my friends, have been thinking about how this is the only answer for all the content distributors. there just isn’t enough pipe out there for every cintent transaction to be a 1-1 relationship, especially when the size of those transcations reaches GBs.
Kudos to Warner Bros. for having the balls to finally do what everyone knows needs doing. Now if only Cablevision & Time Warner Cable’s pay per view movie systems would implement technology I might actually be able to watch a PPV movie during a busy time; how many times have you gotten the “System is unavailable at the moment” because you wanted to watch a PPV movie at 8pm? Too many to cound for me…
