MUSIC:reflections for 2022-06-24

Week of unexpected drops for me as the French came out in force with Stereolab and JB Dunckel (of Air) releasing new music. Grum and Ron Trent albums, with Khruangbin guesting on Ron’s album, and a Music For Dreams 20th anniversary comp should provide a solid electronic up and down beat fix. Soccer Mommy, Brian Jonestown Massacre, DIIV, Damien Jurado, Goose and G. Love round out the various flavors of rock offering. Happy listening…

Last Week’s Distilled Gems:

Röyksopp were great as always, and Lana Del Rey + Father John Misty was a really nice collab. The Foals and Bartees Strange albums were both on repeat for a chunk of last week. Bolivard put out some fantastic French electronic grooves and will look for a full length and ideally an opportunity to see him live.
